Camps: Oswego Bears offers football camps and cheer camps. See Football Camps and Cheer Camps on the website for dates, locations, and registration.

Fundraisers: The program may run fundraisers to support operations and travel. Team-level fundraising (e.g., for travel) may be organized with approval. Details are communicated by the board and coaches.

Competitions: Cheer: 2–3 competitions during the season plus nationals for qualifying teams. Football and cheer: Chicagoland and Mid-America playoffs, then state, regional, and national championships. Nationals are held in locations such as Orlando, FL. Schedules are shared by the program and coaches when finalized.

Event Calendar

January 31, 2026: Registration for the 2026 season opens.
Mid-July: Football practice begin (first practice Tuesday, July 15). Team levels (Red/White/Blue) and player placements are determined in the first two weeks. Evaluations will be held for age levels that will need multiple teams. Team levels are determined by Pop Warner.
Late July: Cheer practice begins July 27th!
Early to Mid August: Game schedule and competition details released by first or second week. Parent meetings after teams are set.
August 22-23: 2026 Season officially begins!
September–October: Regular-season games (Sat/Sun). Cheer competitions on select weekends.
November–December: Playoffs, regionals, and nationals for qualifying teams.

Registration & Participation

Athletes must be registered, have submitted required documents (report card, Pop Warner contract), and meet academic requirements (2.0 GPA or equivalent). Competition and playoff eligibility follow Pop Warner and Mid-America rules.
